Thomas’ Obituary Thomas George Wenzel, age 64, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at University of Chicago Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1954 in Gary, Indiana to Jack and Bonnie Wenzel. Tom retired from working as an electrician where he installed wiring for new home construction.

He loved golfing and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post# 454 in New Chicago and the VFW Post# 5365 in Hobart. Tom is survived by his fiancée, Linda Abbate; son, Thomas Wenzel; daughter, Kimberly (Paul) Fuse; grandchildren, Ashley Witt, Eden Wenzel; great grandson, Benjamin Thieling; and one brother, Jack (Jan) Wenzel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bonnie Wenzel.

Per Tom’s wishes, there will be no services. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
