Thomas Harold Watson sent home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at In Touch Hospice of Somerset, PA. Born on May 5, 1920, he is the last survivor of 6 children born to Thomas G. and Cora Marguerite (Fawcett) Watson. Preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Betty M. (Williams) Watson, to whom he was married on June 27, 1941, and only daughter, Lonna L. (Watson) Benn.

He is survived by: son-in-law, David A. Benn, of Shelbyville, KY, granddaughters Dana L. Benn and Melissa M. (Benn) Yachere, wife of Rick L. Yachere, and grandson Thomas W. Benn, husband of Renee D. (Simpson) Benn; as well as great-grandchildren Megan L. (Yachere) Gallo and husband Louis Gallo, Katelyn B. Yachere, Ryan D. Yachere and Alanna D. Benn. Tom was a longtime member of the McKeesport Alliance Church, and an active member of the Gideon’s International. He was also one of the original board members and a long-time supporter of Evangelism Res.

A member of the Army Air Corps, he was trained as a bombardier, and is a World War II Veteran. He worked for US Steel Corporation in McKeesport, Pa. , until he started a newspaper distributorship, Watson News Agency, which he ran for over 40 years.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon, in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Marty Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
