Thomas’ Obituary Thomas J. Coyle, age 79, of Brookville, Indiana formerly of Okeana, Ohio went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born on September 24, 1939, in Sinking Valley, Kentucky the youngest child of Tilford and Cinda (Isaacs) Coyle. His father passed when he was 5 and he was raised by a house full of girls, his mother and seven sisters.

He was brought up in the way of the Lord and when he was 70, he accepted Christ as his Savior. He was a member of Scipio United Baptist Church. He learned to grow flowers and planted huge gardens as a child and did so his whole life.

He carried a rifle to school and shot rabbits and squirrels for supper. He loved to coon hunt and loved and raised coon dogs. He moved to Lexington and worked on horse farms as a teenager and as a young man moved to Ohio and settled in the Okeana/Shandon area.

He was a carpenter and roofer by trade. He married Teresa Murray on December 24, 1983. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Murray) Coyle; two daughters, Cindy (Roy) Hall and Teresa (Colby) Berry; four grandchildren, Holly (Lance) Rosenbarger, Christy (Josh) Baldwin, Amanda (David) Varner, and Kayla Hall; nine great grandchildren, McKenzie, Lexie, Dakota, Carter, Lily Sue, Grayson, Devon, Isaac, and Savannah; his sister, Letha Jackson; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas James Coyle, Jr.; his sisters, Katie Hisel, Bertha Clemmons, Dorothy Isaacs, Jessie Rose, Sally Isaacs, and Mettie Morris Powers; and his half brothers and sisters, Edna Spivey, Bill, Logan, Alfred “Doc”, Effie Bennett, Doannie Isaacs, Obie, Mary Frances, Hazel, and Archie. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, OH on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. with Pastor David Smith officiating.
