OBITUARY Thomas J. McCann April 2, 1944 – October 11, 2018 Thomas J. McCann, age 74, passed away at home with loved ones nearby, on Thursday October 11, 2018. From his birth in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 2, 1944 to his death on Thursday, Tom was dedicated to his work and his family. Growing up in a family of nine children, where he was the middle child, Tom learned early how to make the most of what you have and always give 100% to any endeavor.

He graduated from General Motors Institute in Michigan, then moved south to Texas where he raised his four children and pursued and accomplished his dream of owning his own car dealership. In his later years, Tom developed software for car dealerships and successfully ran his own business. He was preceded in death by his parents: William E. McCann and Dorothy R. McCann and his sister, Dorothy Jean Kosinskj.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tammy McCann; his stepchildren, Jared Brown and Lacy Brown Harding; his four children: John McCann, Tina McCann, Sandi Heffernan (Shawn), Laura McCann; his grandchildren: Nicholas, Melody, Olivia, Gavin, Grant, Ziva, Kiana, Aryn, and Connor; his siblings: William McCann, Virginia Shar, Eileen McCann, Mary Ellen Davis, Regis McCann, Rita Staud (Edward), and Michael McCann (Lesley); and his many nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart. A Rosary will be held on Thursday October 18, 2018 at 1:30pm, with a funeral Mass immediately following at 2:00pm, at The Catholic Church of St. Mary the Virgin, 1408 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX, 76012. Burial will immediately follow at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens.
