Thomas’ Obituary Thomas L. Wagner “DOUBLE” of Groton passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Cheshire Regional Rehabilitation Center after succumbing to Huntington’s Disease. He was born in Woodbury, NJ on May 8, 1972 the son of the late Le’Roy and Mae Wagner. Tommy grew up in Groton, graduating from Fitch Sr High in 1990 where he lettered in soccer.

He worked for Foxwoods at the Eagle Park Warehouse for 20 years prior to the progression of his disease. Double will be greatly missed by his siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an avid NJ Devils fan and Star Wars guru.

Double had been very athletic mountain biking, playing soccer and practicing martial arts. The family would like to thank the nurses on Verti North 5th floor for “wrestling the bear”. Also a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cheshire Regional Rehab for all the great care and love they provided Tommy for the last years of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb 23 at the Mystic VFW from 12-3pm, 60 Stonington Rd, Mystic. “MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
