Thomas’ Obituary Thomas H. McCowen, of Cumming, GA passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 69. Tom was born February 14, 1950 in Kalamazoo, MI. He is the son of Robert and Vivian (Smith) McCowen.

Tom graduated from Portage Northern in 1968. He later married Rosemary Doepker and together had two children, Robert and Carl. They lived for a period of time in Anchorage, Alaska and in Tampa, Florida.

Tom is survived by his wife Rose; two sons: Robert McCowen, of KS and Carl (Clare) McCowen, of CO; one grandson, Elliott; mother: Vivian McCowen, of Kalamazoo; one brother: Bob (Sue) McCowen, of Clark Lake, MI; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert McCowen. Per Tom’s wishes he has been cremated and will have a memorial service at a later date.
