Thomas Owen Manning April 17, 1937 ~ October 31, 2018 Thomas Owen Manning has returned to his Heavenly Father on October 31, 2018. He was born on April 17, 1937 in Kentucky where he was raised. In 2010 he moved to Washington Terrace.

Thomas joined the Navy and served for four years. He met the love of his life, Evelyn Brewer in 1962. They were married for over 52 years.

Thomas played in a band for over 50 years. He loved playing the guitar and singing, and was always taking the missionaries out. Thomas is survived by his seven grandchildren, Tomi (Doug) Hammons, Jimmy (Kathy) Manning, Dana (Jeff) Hardy, Sara (Joe) Bass, David (Sarah) Manning, Micah Manning, and Tyler Manning.

He had 27 grandchildren and two-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his parents, James and Hallie “Helen” Manning; and sister, Juanita “Nita” Keene. He will be missed and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Washington Terrace 6th Ward Chapel, 4760 South 200 East. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
