Evangelist, Thomas Paul Peters, 83 of Grafton was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 29, 1935 in Grafton, son of the late Thomas Frederick and Flora May Shahan Peters. Thomas is survived by his wife of sixty years, Joan Lowe Peters; they were married April 2, 1958.

He was a graduate of Grafton High School Class of 1953, and had his Doctor of Divinity Degree in Religion with fifty seven years of preaching the Gospel. Thomas loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, wood working, and being with his family. He never met a stranger.

Thomas is survived by four children, David Peters and wife Veronica, John Peters, Joanie Newlon and husband Randy, and Lisa Bailey and husband Gary all of Grafton, four grandchildren, Jacob Peters and wife Cayla, Joseph Peters and wife Jenny, Angel Peters, and Tim Bailey, three great grandchildren, Jasper, Julia, Jesse, one sister, Betty Robinson, Grafton, In addition to his parents he was preceded death by two granddaughters, Trinity Bailey, and Angel Peters, three grandsons, Matthew Peters, Mark Peters, James Peters, one sister, Rose Whitehair, one daughter-in-law, Tina Peters. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 3-8PM and on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
