Obituary for Mr. Thomas “Ron” Matthews Funeral services for Mr. Thomas “Ron” Matthews, 53, will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday, July 13, 2018, in The Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home with The Rev. Randall Harrelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the Darlington County Humane Society, Box 1655, Hartsville, SC 29551. Mr. Mattews entered into rest on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was born in Greenville, SC, a son of Patsy Barton Matthews and the late Hybert Larue Matthews.

He was employed with Mohawk Industries. Ron loved his children dearly. He loved his dogs, was a huge fan of Clemson football, and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Price Matthews of Hartsville, SC; daughters, Amber Matthews and Haley Matthews (Matt Harp) of Hartsville, SC; son, Landon Matthews of Hartsville, SC; mother of Hartsville, SC. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family. Previous Events Visitation , JUL 12.
