Thomas “Tom”‘s Obituary Thomas “Tom” Eppenstein, age 63, of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Canaryville, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Chicago. He was born on September 21, 1955 in Chicago to the late James and Charlotte Eppenstein On July 1, 1978 Tom married the love of his life, Carol Kuber. Tom was a retired foreman at Central Steel and Wire in Chicago.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Tom is survived by his wife of 40 yrs. Carol Eppenstein; two sons, Thomas Eppenstein Jr. and Steven (Ayriana) Eppenstein; daughter, Trisha (Anthony) Izzo; nine grandchildren, Cora, Tony Jr., Emma and Michael Izzo, Hayden and Phoenix Eppenstein Cecelia and Thomas Izzo and Kennedy Eppenstein; five sisters, Shelly Preston, Doreen Kwater, Meta Conkling, Char Eppenstein and Linda McKnight; two brothers, Karl and Nick Eppenstein and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Roberta Eppenstein, Elizabeth Anderson, Vivian Yorkman, Shirley Nelson and brother, Steven Eppenstein. A visitation for Tom will take place from 3:00-7:00 followed by a 7:00 p.m. service, Monday, February 11, 2019 at New Life Church of God, 2780 Russell St. Portage, Indiana 46368 with Rev. Forest Ash officiating.
