Thomas W. Hamilton, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Gates Vascular Institute, following complications during open heart surgery. Born on September 26, 1941 in Saltcoats, Scotland, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Fulton) Hamilton. Tom, as he was known to family and friends, came to Niagara Falls in 1957 with his family and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1960.

On September 7, 1963, he married the former Eloise Seymour. For forty-two years, Tom was employed by Carborundum, which became Saint-Gobain, working in various departments. His last position, prior to their closing in 2002, was in the receiving department.

Tom took great pride in maintaining his home, koi pond and garden. He loved entertaining friends and family at his home. Tom traveled back to his home-town in Scotland to visit as often as possible.

He enjoyed cooking and going to the casino and was an avid golfer and animal lover. Tom had a unique sense of humor, but if you understood him you found him a very humorous man. He would lend a hand to anyone who needed it.

Tom will be sorely missed by his family, friends, pets, his unofficial adopted daughters Lynnette Cooper and Sue Kosikowski and wonderful neighbors. In addition to his beloved wife of over 54 years, Tom is survived by his daughters, Lisa Hamilton and Sheri (Charles) Warren; grandchildren, Kayla Black and Austin (Alexa) Warren; a great-granddaughter, Emmi and a great-grandson due in August. He is also survived by siblings, Moira (late James) Anderson, John (Sandra) Hamilton and Anne (Richard) Smith and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by siblings, William, Fulton, Hamish, Samuel and Ada, his infant sister. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16th from 2-6 p.m. in the funeral Chapel. In lieu of lowers, memorial offerings may be made to SPCA of Niagara.
