Thomas W. Younglas, 89, of Penfield Township passed away Sunday September 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 14, 1928 in LaGrange and was a lifelong area resident. A lifelong farmer, Tom was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton, a 1947 LaGrange High School graduate and was a long time Penfield Township Trustee.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathy (George) Fabian and Sherry (John) Wilson; son, Greg Younglas; 4 grandsons; 6 great-grandchildren. … Read More » He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (nee- Beriswell) in 2017; sons, Kevin in 1986 and Dennis in 2018; sisters, Margaret Roffey, Clara Herold and Mary Cornish; brother, Robert Younglas. The family will receive friends Thursday 3:00-7:00-p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.

(at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday September 28, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 708 Erie St., Grafton, where friends may also call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m..

The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant.

Burial will be at Penfield Cemetery, Penfield Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Dr. Suite 900 Arlington, VA. 22202, or to Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Lane Sandusky, OH.
