Thomas R. Steiner, 91 of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Tom was born on June 18, 1927 in Massillon the son of the late Harold and Corella (Hammer) Steiner. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1945 graduate of Washington High School.

Tom was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, K of C, and past president of the Plumbers Union #94. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Dona Riordan.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Stein) Steiner of whom he shared 66 years of marriage; his children and their spouses, Douglas Steiner, Lynn (Rusty) Indorf and Susan (Michael) Smith; grandchildren, Renee (Michael) Ridgway, Nicole (Eric) Lightfoot, Raygan (Randy) Weiford, Sarah (Quintin) Bressler, Wesley Steiner, Ryan (Angela) Indorf and Tyler (Taylor) Steiner; 16 great grandchildren; and his sister, Lea (Bob) Hollwager. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Stark County (Truman House) or Amherst Meadows.
