Thuy Ngoc Nguyen August 26, 1954 – December 27, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Thuy Ngoc Nguyen, 64, of Hatfield, PA; formerly of Telford, PA entered into rest on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the loving wife of Du Van Tran for 35 years. Thuy was born in Vung Tau, Vietnam to the late Nhuong Van Nguyen and the late Tron Thi Dao.

She was employed as a meat packager for Hatfield Quality Meats, now known as Clemens Food Group, in Hatfield for more than 20 years. Thuy was an active supporter of the Chua Linh Quang Temple and the Minh Dang Quang Temple, both of Telford. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, visiting Vietnam, chanting mantras, and going to the temples.

Thuy enjoyed cleaning, playing on the iPad, reading, watching Chinese soap operas, and playing cards. She was a strong-willed, independent, sweet, loving, considerate, and generous woman. Thuy had a great sense of humor, was devoted to her family and faith, and was always willing to help others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Ngoc Diane Mai of Brookhaven, PA, Julie Nguyen Tran of Warminster, PA; her five grandchildren – Christy, Emily, Sofina, Nina, & Vincent; her two brothers; and her six sisters. Viewings and ceremonies will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964 and on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 6:00 am – 8:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to: Chua Linh Quang Temple, 821 Ridge Road, Telford, PA 18969.
