Tiahna Rose Bird was born on December 6th, 1999 to Kenneth Allan Bird and Brandi Sue Henry. Tiahna had one sister Sabrina Marie Bird, who she loved very much. Her paternal grandparents were Kenneth Leo Bird and Delores Mae Bird and her maternal grandparents were Marvin Henry Sr. and Carol Henry.

She had numerous aunts and uncles: Marvin Henry Jr., Douglas Wayne Bird, Kendra and John Wesley, Dana Leigh Bird and Phillip Sure Chief IV, and Karla Denise Bird. Tiahna’s cousins were Serenity Henry, Jonathan Wesley, Phillip Sure Chief V, Jaden Sure Chief, Ethan Sure Chief, and numerous other cousins. Tiahna also had other friends and family that she held dear to her heart.

Tiahna Rose was baptized by Father Dan Powers in St. Anne’s Parish at Heart Butte, Mt. Her special saint was Saint Therese, who was known as “The Little Flower”. Tiahna’s godparents were Grandpa Kenny and Grandma Delores, who taught her all about God’s love.

She enjoyed listening to Bible Stories and saying prayers with her family. Tiahna also spent time with her family, praying the rosary and celebrating mass at the Big Badger Grotto. Tiahna attended school in Browning, Great Falls, Missoula, and Lame Deer, MT.

At school, Tiahna loved to finger paint, swing on the playground, and practice reading braille. Her educators played a very special role in her life and recently achieved a high school diploma from Missoula, Mt. Tiahna was named after her grandma Carol Rose Henry and great grandma Rose Bullshoe-Bird.

Her nickname was “Tweety Bird”. Tiahna loved the water and enjoyed swimming, boating, and floating on “Big Mabel”. She also enjoyed crazy rides at the fair and sledding in Big Badger.

Tiahna had several noise making toys and specifically liked to play the electronic keyboard, xylophone, and wildly shake her tambourine. She loved horseback riding and her mom and dad ensured that she got her daily workout on the treadmill. Tiahna could not go a day with out the pleasures of scented lotions/perfumes and fine food.

Tiahna loved to dance and sing along to music. Her favorite music was Kids BOP, Trolls, Movie Sound Tracks for Youth, Indian Music, Blacklodge, Northern Cree, and Beyonce. Tiahna was the most sweetest and purest soul here on Earth, and now in Heaven.

She is joined with Grandpa Steve, Grandma Delores, Grandpa Kenny, and Great-Grandma Rose. Tiahna always reminded us that “patience was a virtue,” as she earnestly awaited to fully see and experience God’s great beauty and creation. Our beautiful girl is no longer bound by earthly restrictions or limitations and is now free to enjoy the pleasures of God’s great kingdom.

A wake at the Old Eagle Shield Center will begin Sunday, September 23, around noon. Rosary services will be Tuesday at 7pm at the center. Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 11am at Little Flower Catholic Church.

Burial to follow in Bird Family Cemetery in Badger Creek.
