Timothy David Robinson , March 10, 1949 — February 27, 2019

Timothy David Robinson Weogufka, AL – Funeral service for Timothy David Robinson, 69, will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 am at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Paul Vick and Bro. David Vick officiating.

Burial will be in Newsite Baptist Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Robinson died Wednesday, February 27, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Robinson and Oscar Robinson, Jr., daughter, Cindy Gravette, son-in-law, Greg Gravette, and brother, Morris Robinson.

Tim Robinson was raised in the Weogufka community and went to Weogufka school, where he graduated and met Wanda, who he married and lived with for fifty years. He always enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and Alabama football. He loved playing FreeCell on his computer and listening to gospel music, especially the music by the Vick boys.

He loved fried fish, and his mother’s chocolate pudding, which his sister would make for him. He always enjoyed eating breakfast at Burger King with his work buddies. He loved all of his kinfolk and his church family at Newsite Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

He loved his wife, his two granddaughters, and his great-granddaughter dearly, but most of all, he loved God first and foremost. He told his friend Rev. Tommy Thornton that he was a winner either way if the Lord healed him in Heaven or if He healed him here on earth.

His favorite Bible verse was 2 Corinthians 5:7- “For we walk by faith, not by sight”. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Robinson, sister, Doris Mooney brother-in-law Lewis Mooney, two granddaughters. Amber Sullivan husband Kory Sullivan, and Meagan Gravette, and one great-granddaughter, Cindy Brooke Gable.

Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Marty Barnett, Newt Sanders, Jeremy Grimes, Pete Nordquist, Colt Fincher and Keith Robinson. The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
