Timothy Frederick Ivers August 17, 1946 – February 12, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Timothy Frederick Ivers, age 72, passed away peacefully on February 12th 2019 at Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to this area in his early childhood. Tim dedicated his life to the service of veterans at both The Department of Veterans Affairs as well as The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from June 5th 1967 to November 12th 1968. Tim was an avid motorcycle enthusiast with a love for British and vintage bikes. You could always find him in the garage perfecting his latest project and was especially proud of the many awards his refurbished motorcycles won.

He loved, and was loved by his family. His most treasured title was that of ‘Papa’. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Frank Ivers and his beloved son, Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Bambi, his brother Jim (Vivian) Ivers, his daughters Melanie (Jeff) Law, Jessica (Rob) Tanner, Chelsea Flynn (Christian Garcia-Rosas) and Melanie (Michael) Shaffer; his nephews Luke and Jacob Ivers; his grandchildren Vivian Tanner, Carter Flynn, Lindsey (Zach) Shaw, and Lauren Law; and his one great granddaughter, Ava Shaw. He will be buried next to his son at Bay Pines National Cemetery. A memorial service to be held at Bay Pines is pending.
