Timothy L. Smith, age 71 of Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Elderwood Nursing Facility. Tim was predeceased by his sister, Sharon Tompkins. Tim is survived by his children, Terry (Lori Jones) Smith of Springfield, TN and Lynn (Holly) Smith of Mt.

Sterling, KY; mother, Shirley Smith of Elmira, NY; sister, Karen Mathewson of Eden, NC; brother, James Smith of Corning, NY; special nephew, Chris Tompkins; niece, Carla Gilbert of Elmira, NY; nephew, Thomas Hollenback of South Carolina; nephew; David Hollenback of North Carolina; nephew, Michael Bennett of North Carolina; four grandchildren, and family friend, Tara Kastner and family. Tim was a beloved father, uncle, and grandfather. He loved to fish, and loved being outdoors in his younger years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elderwood in Waverly, and Dr. Mauri’s office, for all their care and support. As per the family’s request, there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
