Tom’s Obituary Thomas Theisen, age 79 of Lake, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2019 at home. He was born March 30, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Clarence and Lena (Olger) Theisen.

Tom was raised in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Tom’s working career was always in Mt.

Pleasant. In high school and shortly after Tom worked alongside his father at his family’s service station. Following his honorable discharge from the US Army in 1960 he gained employment at the Post Office.

Tom was also employed at the State Home in Mt. Pleasant and used his jobs as a means to pay for his passion- dairy farming. On August 13, 1987 he married Brenda J. Warner at their home in Winn.

Brenda and Tom soon moved to Lake where they have enjoyed being active members of the Coldwater Township community. Tom and Brenda were the tons of North Brinton Cemetery until 2014 when Tom’s health began to decline. Tom had an extensive toy tractor collection and looked forward to driving around the countryside looking at Amish farms.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Brenda of Lake; six children, Sheila (David) Totten of Big Rapids, Richard (Kathy) Theisen of Mt. Pleasant, Cindy (Peter) Esparza of East Moline, IL, Tim (Tammy) Theisen and Jeff (Cammie) Theisen of Mt. Pleasant and Clark Goodrich of Kentwood; seven brothers and sisters, Phyllis Ahlers and Bill (Joyce) Theisen of Mt.

Pleasant, Mary Sproule of Davison, Gene (Janet) Theisen of Mt. Pleasant, Rita (Bruce) Cline of Marshall, Pauline (Steve) Thomas of Laingsburg and Pat (Sue) Theisen of DeWitt; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John “Jack” Theisen.

Mass of the Resurection will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Hope, 106 E. Wheaton Ave. , Clare, MI with visitation one hour prior. The family will greet friends from 2PM to 5PM on Friday at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
