Tomas C. Flores December 31, 2018 TOMAS C. FLORES Tomas C. Flores, 88, gained his wings and went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2019 at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was the last of five children of Susana Chacon Hinojosa and Juan (Vidalez) Flores. He was born on Sunday, July 13th, 1930 in Encinal, Texas.

In July 14th, 1951 he married Inocente Rosales Ramon in Ludington, Michigan. He was a long life resident of Encinal. He served on the City Council and was Mayor.

He loved to dance and listen to all types of music. He had a passion for baseball and he played in his younger years. Later he coached the Encinal Cardinals team during the 70s.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also managed the Saguaro Ranch in Webb County. T.C. Flores as known by his co-workers in the railroad, began his career in 1952. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a laborer and Assistant Foreman.

Then in 1975 he was promoted to Foreman after being Assistant Foreman for 3 years. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1987. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle.

He will truly be missed by all who loved him and knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his children, Adriana, Beatriz and Tomas Flores Jr. Siblings, Dolores, Rita, Margarita and Juan Flores Jr He is survived by his children, Maria Teresa (Encarnacion+) Trevino Jr. of Laredo, Maria Andrea (Bernard) Privette of Rio Rico, AZ, Dora Luz Flores of San Antonio, Roberto (Paulita) Flores of Laredo, Nalda (Jerry) Flores of San Antonio, Roxanna (Roberto) Cortinas, of Laredo and Alejandra (David+) Deliganis of Laredo.

Grandchildren he helped raise, Christine Holguin of Rio Rico, AZ and Marie Antoinette Martinez-Valenzuela, of San Antonio and Hector Wilfredo Bernal Sr., of Laredo. 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Death: December 31, 2018 Also surviving him are other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church.

Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
