Tommy Maples of Irving, Texas December 11, 1959 – January 25, 2019 Tommy Maples died Friday, January 25, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. Born December 11, 1959, in Fort Stockton, Texas, he was the son of the late Tom and Ismay Ann Maples. He found Jesus Christ at the age of 13.

Tommy served in the United States Air Force. He married his best friend and lifelong love Jamie Hale on April 12, 1980 in Waco, Texas. Tommy moved to Irving, Texas in 1994 and started at Southwest Airlines in 1998 after holding various other aviation positions.

He loved his Southwest family members and enjoyed his friends. Tommy is best remembered as a family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Jamie; his sons, Paul and wife Angela, Patrick, Steve and wife Kirby, Jared and wife Mary; grandchildren: Hannah, Emily, Joshua, Jack, Abigail, Shiloh, and Nolan; brother Roger; sister Denise; and numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom have been extremely supportive.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home in Irving, Texas, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. The funeral will be at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. The burial will be at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019.

The family truly appreciates the care Tommy received at Baylor Dallas.
