She was born April 2, 1948 in Pine Hill, AL to Albert Pearson and Mable Irene Pearson McGilberry. She was a retired advertising manager with The Thomasville Times and was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Al Joyce (Robin); daughter, Melinda Joyce Westbrook (William); brother, Johnny Lee McGilberry; three sisters, Linda Sue Adcox, Albert Jean Graham, and Mae Lynn Baugh; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Pearson and Mable Irene Pearson McGilberry; two brothers, Don Autrey and Glenn McGilberry; and sister, Zina McGilberry. Visitation will be held at Thomasville Baptist Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev.
Ty Parten officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pine Hill, AL. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: The Thomasville Library for The Thomasville Sports Hall of Fame.
