Vanessa’s Obituary JOHN 14: 1-3 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. OBITUARY Vanessa Nadine Dantzler (Reynolds) was born in Dallas, TX on August 09, 1954 to the parents of Alton and Ruth Reynolds. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Community First Baptist Church for many years, where she served in the choir ministry.
She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School Class of 1972. Vanessa loved to shop! It was always exciting to see her enter a room, as she always had on the cutest fashions and the most eye-catching accessories.
She also loved to dance. She would often challenge her nieces and nephews to dance battles, where she would always declare herself as the winner! Her nickname was Hollywood because she was and will always be our superstar!
In her downtime, she would combine her passion for cooking and getting her family together to create soul food style dinners. Her catchphrase was “Eat Like a Family” in other words DON’T BE GREEDY! She loved cooking so much, she began a career as a cook at the Army Air Force Exchange (AAFES) and remained there for more than ten years.
Later in life, she began a career as a caregiver for the elderly. She took pride in caring for people as she was a giver; and those she cared for, loved and appreciated her. Although she had a very strong personality, her spirit was fun-loving and extremely nurturing.
Vanessa leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her love: Husband, David of 17 years, Step-daughter, Tyeshia, grand-daughters Lacy and Malaysia, five sisters, Renia, Naomi, Doris, Cleaster, Emma, one brother Alton Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
