Obituary for Mrs. Vera C. Poe age 92, of Middleburg Mrs. Vera C. Poe age 92, of Middleburg passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Orange Park Medical Center. She was born December 22, 1925, to Berry and Merdie (Burris) Cercy in Doctors Inlet. Mrs. Poe was a retired farmer and of the Pentecostal faith; she loved being outside gardening and especially spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poe was also preceded in death by her husband Leslie Newton Poe, her son Joe Doyle and eight siblings. Mrs. Poe leaves behind a son Arnold Doyle (Sallie) of Middleburg; grandchildren Jim Doyle (Nadine) of Middleburg, John Doyle (Pam) of Virginia and Rebecca Green of Orange Park along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also left behind is a host of nieces and nephews in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, November 5, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, with Reverend Copeland Smith officiating. Interment will be at Peoria Cemetery. Arrangements are by HELM-GALLAGHER FUNEARL HOME & CREMATION SRTVICES, 1811 Idlewild Ave.
