Vesta Lou Hubbard, 93, of Orleans, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:08 AM at IU Health Paoli Hospital. She was born April 30, 1925 in Ben Hur, Virginia, the daughter of Bascom Davis and Sallie Mary (Sprinkle) Hall. She married Wilburne “Valley” Hubbard on May 3, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1983.

She was a member of the Syria Christian Church and attended the Orleans Christian Church. She had worked at USAF and United Technologies. She is survived by one son, Leslie Hubbard of Boston, MA; one grandson, Eric Hubbard of San Antonio, TX; one nephew Rodney Ely of Valparaiso, IN and one niece, Manitoo Slemp Ritchison of Mitchell, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and infant daughter, Della Riley. Services will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Brother Thomas Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the Syria Church Cemetery in Orleans.
