Obituary for Vickie Dean Echols Vickie Dean Echols passed away on April 30, 2018 in Tulsa. She was 76. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018, at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home in Claremore.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the First Christian Church in Langley, OK, with burial at Oakhaven Memorial Park in Claremore. Vickie resided in Spavinaw, OK for the last 19 years with her husband of 59 years, Sammy Echols. Vickie is survived by: her sister Margaret Gregory of Vinita; brothers Dale Boyd of Texas, and Doug Boyd of Arizona; daughters Regina and her husband Tom Hopper, and LaWanda and her husband Bruce Witt, all of Langley, OK; six grandchildren, Tommy and his wife Taylor Hopper, Josh and his wife Jamie Hopper, Christie Hopper, Amanda Witt, Curtis Witt, and Morgan Echols; seven great-grandchildren, Jake and Cole Hopper, Jayden and Jayce Martin, Rylee and Ryker Witt, and Gabby Hopper; one great-great-granddaughter Chloe Hopper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Edna Dean Boyd, son Sam (Charlie) Echols; her in-laws Henry and Eunice Echols; sister-in-law Donna Duncan, and two grandchildren, Vickie Sweeny and Jordan Echols. Vickie loved helping her family and friends, and anything that had to do with Bald Eagles. She also loved fishing and crocheting.
