OBITUARY Vickie Lynn Busbey August 15, 1946 – December 31, 2018 Memorial service for Vickie Lynn Busbey, 72, of Decatur, will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 3:00 pm at The Church at Stone River with Ted Amey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Busbey was born August 15, 1946 in Decatur, Alabama to John Hartselle and Edna Beard Hartselle. She passed away December 31, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a lifelong member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and a current member of The Church at Stone River.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Hartselle. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Busbey of Decatur; two daughters, Pam Kirk (Barry), of Athens, Tonia Blakely (Reggie), of Decatur; her mother, Edna Hartselle, of Decatur, three sisters, Donna Borden, of Aiken, South Carolina, Teresa Lindquist, of Decatur, Sherri Griffin, of Decatur; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was a 1964 graduate of Decatur High School and retired from Regions Interstate Billing Service.

She was an avid square dancer and was a member of 8’ers from Decatur since 1985. She was active in several bunco groups, Hill and Dale Garden Club and the Red Hat Society. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The Church at Stone River.
