Obituary for Victor E. Kaczmarski Victor Kaczmarski, 94, of West Point, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 after a long illness. He was born October 17, 1923 in Swedesburg, PA and moved to West Point with his family at the age of six. After graduating from West Point High school, Vic inspected airplanes for Glen L. Martin before being drafted into the U.S. Army.

While in the service, he was wounded in the Battle of Anzio and honorably discharged. Vic went on to attend Johns Hopkins for drafting and blueprinting and was later employed by Chesapeake Corporation for 35 years before retiring in 1985. Vic was preceded in death by his son, Victor Charles “Chuck” Kazmarski.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Helen Sniegon Kaczmarski; his two children, Suzanne Lumpkin and David Lohrey (Dottie); a daughter-in-law, Cindy Kazmarski; grandchildren, Brittany Zohorsky (J.F.), Ross Lumpkin (Brittany), Christy Baker (Matt), Brian Lohrey (Lisa) and Sheldon Kazmarski (Cole); great-grandchildren, Steven Lohrey (Greyson), Rowan and Vera Kazmarski, and Kellan Zohorsky. A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, April 26th at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3570 King William Avenue, West Point, VA and interment will follow in St. Theresa Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St., West Point, VA.
