Mrs. Viola Wray Miller, 100, of Clemmons passed away Monday, February 25, 2019. Mrs. Miller was born in Guilford County on July 18, 1918, she was affectionately known as “Cricket” a resident of Reidsville, NC for many years. Viola celebrated her 100th birthday on July 18th 2018.

She was a woman of great Christian faith and a gentle kind soul with a big heart that always put others before herself. She retired from American Tobacco Co. after 35 years of service. She was a long time member of College Park Baptist Church in Reidsville until her later years.

Viola was a current member of Grace Baptist Church. She also enjoyed reading, but most of all she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Russell Miller; one son, Freddie Miller.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Miller and wife Nancy of Kennesaw GA and Tim Miller and wife Kim of Colfax; daughter, Mary Bush and husband Jim of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Kelly; Christie; Beth; Benton; Jeremy; Elizabeth; Nathan; Lindsay and Jamie; eleven great, grandchildren and daughter-in-law Wilma Miller of McDonough, GA. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Repass officiating.

Family will receive friends 9:45 – 10:45 am. Committal will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery, Reidsville. The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Mallard Ridge in Clemmons, NC for their compassion and care during her final years.
