Virgil’s Obituary Virgil Raymond Reeves, 77, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Thurs. May 2, 2019 at his home. He was born Jan.

29, 1942 in Granite City to the late Virgil Roy & Rosaline (Beard) Reeves. On Feb. 11, 1961, he and Peggy C. Odom were married in Granite City.

She survives in Granite City. Mr. Reeves worked for Monsanto and retired from Solutia after more than 35 years of service. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Raymond Alan (Deana Austin) Reeves of Granite City;2 grandsons: Mark Alan Reeves and Mason Paul Reeves; a brother: Gary Reeves of O’Fallon, IL; 2 sisters: Cathy Pullium of Jacksonville, FL and Carol (Charles) Carterelli of Idaho; and his step-mother: Betty Reeves.
