OBITUARY Virginia Castleberry Kelly March 11, 1942 – January 1, 2019 Funeral services for Virginia “RUTH” Kelly, 76, born March 11, 1942 will be Saturday, January 5th at 1:00 pm at Gray Brown-Service funeral home with Keith Jeffers officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to service at the funeral home, with burial at Blue Eye Cemetery in Lincoln Alabama. Family will receive family and friends Friday, January 4th from 6 to 8 pm at Gray Brown-Service funeral home.

Mrs. Kelly went to be with our Lord on January 1, 2019 at her home in Weaver. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Sam Kelly; parents, Kelly and Lorene Castleberry; and great-grandsons, Easton and Trytin. She is survived by daughters, Lori Blevins (Jeremy), Belinda Wyer (Michael) and Kay Earley; sons, Roy “Wayne” Batey (Michelle) and Rodger Kelly; granddaughters, Brandy Ogle (Daniel), Nichole Kelly, Kayla Earley and Kristin Pressley (Bradley); grandsons, Rodger Kelly Jr., Steven Gilliam (Kristen), Matthew Kelly, Anthony Batey, Jacob Kelly and Johnathan Austin (Linda); great- granddaughters, Kinslee Kelly, Rosalie Pressley and Hannah Austin; great-grandsons, Nathan and Tyler Cain, Hunter and Andy Gilliam, Ayden Ortiz, Corbyn Kelly, Reid Kelly and Kaiden Austin; sister, Doris Biddle; brothers, Ray Castleberry and Eddie Castleberry (Wanda); brother-in-law Jim Kelley (Amy); and several neices and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Kelly, Anthony Batey, Jacob Kelly, Nathan Cain, Tyler Cain, Steven Gilliam, Jeff Castleberry, James Biddle and Johnathan Austin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Castleberry and Barry Biddle. She worked for and retired from Calhoun County BOE Pleasent Valley HS.

Special thanks Heidi and Larry Burger; the staff of Jacksonville Hospital who treated her like a queen and gave her the best care available; and to New Beacon Hospice and her Nurse Tonya Miller and Jodi Benefield.
