Virginia’s Obituary Virginia Kimble Frazier was born November 21, 1928 to John Wesley Kimble and Cleo Belle (Reber) Kimble at the family farm southeast of Hydro and passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at The Commons Nursing Home in Enid, at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 5 days. She was born into a rich heritage of grandparents both Kimbles and Rebers who were early day pioneers. She is the youngest of five children; Woodrow, Floyd, Thelma, and LeRoy.
The boys had noticed a youngster in town who appeared to need a helping hand and so Earl King came to live with them as a young boy and is fondly thought of as one of the family. She attended school in Hydro and graduated in 1946. She was extremely proud of her hard-working parents and her brothers and sister.
They were all good Christian people who were always ready and willing to lend a hand when needed. Her parents helped feed many families who weren’t as fortunate as hers. Virginia accepted the Lord’s calling at age 11, in 1939 at Cedar Canyon Church, a small country church near their home that was started by her father and other early farm families.
They later attended the Hydro First Baptist church where her parents were members until they passed away. She played the piano, sang in the choir and attended Falls Creek from this church. Virginia married Charles Inman and they had 3 daughters.
She has always said that her girls, Sharla, Sheryl and Sharon were the pride and joy of her life. Her girls were involved in band, chorus, drama, modeling, piano, and many activities with the First Baptist Church in Weatherford. She went several years to Falls Creek as a counselor, helped with Vacation Bible School and was always happy to make cocoa for the youth church group at her home after Sunday Evening services.
Virginia owned and operated a beauty shop in Weatherford and sold Merle Norman Cosmetics. She was later employed at the local 3M plant in Weatherford. After her marriage ended, she moved to Yukon and worked for Bell Telephone and later for the Eason Oil Company.
Later she moved to Norman to be closer to Sheryl and Sharon. Her oldest daughter, Sharla, lived in Enid and was always nearby. Virginia was a wonderful grandmother who was, of course, crazy about each and every one of her 7 grandchildren, Heather, Jon, Shaunna, Virginia, Michael, Paul and Lisa.
She loved each one of them and she loved getting together with all the family for any and all occasions. And when it was time for her 12 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandson, she was just as crazy about each of them. While attending the Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman she was given a list of names to call to invite to church and she meet A C Frazier.
He soon swept her off her feet and they were married July 19, 2003 when she was 75. AC soon heard the Lords call and was baptized and they lived a very happy life until his death on May 27, 2006. Virginia was happiest when she could spend time with her family.
She loved to be with her girls and their families. They shared many cook outs, OU football games, Holidays and Friday nights eating out. The last 3 years of her life were spent in a nursing home in Enid, where she was lovingly cared for by Sharla.
They developed a very special bond as Sharla took her to meals, bingo, doctor appointments and spent hours decorating her room for each season or occasion. She loved Sharla being there and the visits from her granddaughter, Shaunna and her girls. Virginia also loved her two sons-in-law Terry Hughes and Wayne Veach.
They both were wonderful to her and treated her like a queen. Which she loved! Virginia’s family is so happy that she is now with her Heavenly Father and she is also with the earthly family she always loved.
We are so thankful she is with her mom and dad and Woodrow and Thelma Rose, Floyd and Katie, Thelma and Boyd and LeRoy and Aline. Sharla and Sheryl are especially glad their mom is with their little sister Sharon. We always knew she was your favorite Mom.
You are both dearly loved and missed. Virginia Inman Frazier is survived by her daughters, Sharla Inman Hughes and husband Terry and Sheryl Inman Veach and husband Wayne, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Memorials may be made to The Commons Nursing Home in Enid, Oklahoma for activities and care.
