Obituary for Virginia “Jodie” Childs Virginia “Jodie” Childs age 84 a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday November 12, 2018 at the family residence. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Virgie Bancroft Sherlin and was also preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Ramsey, her daughter Pamela Ramsey, her step-son Jimmy Childs, and her brother Herbert Sherlin. Jodie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother spending a lot of her time playing with her grandchildren.

Her and her husband James loved to buy and sell houses. She was an avid interior decorator and was a member of the Bancroft Church of God. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years James Lloyd Childs, her daughter Angela Roberson and her husband Joe, her sons Donald Childs, and Dewayne Childs and his wife Cherie, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her brothers George Thomas Sherlin, Edward Sherlin, Deward Sherlin and Harley Sherlin, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 1 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with her grandson Greg Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at the Harrison Cemetery in Harrison TN. , with grandsons and great grandsons serving as her casket bearers.
