OBITUARY Virginia L (Estes) Lawshe November 5, 1928 – January 17, 2019 Virginia L Lawshe, age 90, of Creola, Alabama passed away on Thursday January 17, 2019. Virginia was born November 5, 1928 in New Castle, IN. Married to William Lawshe for 68 years.

A loving mother and grandmother of four generations. She loved her church family and was a member of Creola First Baptist Church for 56 years. She was recognized as the oldest loving mother there on Mother’s Day.

She loved playing dominoes, working in the church kitchen and coordinating meals. A strong supporter of her church with a great love for God. Mrs. Lawshe was a corner stone of her community, her civic involvement included working polls, serving as a volunteer fire fighter and even Fire Chief.

She always had strong work ethic. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Julia Dietz Estes. Survivors include her children Joyce Robinson, Phyliss (Bill) Newton, James (Sally) Lawshe and William (Joyce) Lawshe, Jr. Ten grandchildren anf many loving great and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Creola First Baptist Church,9728 Old Hwy 43, Creola, AL 36575. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Creola Cemetery, Creola Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Creola First Baptist Church, Kitchen Fund. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. RadneyFuneralHome-Saraland.com for the Lawshee family.
