Obituary Virginia Louise Schlender, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born in the Town of Summit, WI to Gustave and Frieda Schlender. Virginia was the first of 10 children.

She was a lifelong Christian, attending St. John’s in Sullivan, St. Paul’s in Oconomowoc, and finally Shorehaven Chapel where she resided for the past 9 years. She enjoyed all of the daily activities offered at Shorehaven. Her favorite holiday was Easter because of the significance of the day, and being able to share it with her family.

People will remember Virginia for her carefree personality and happy giggle. She worked in the service industry at Chuck’s Supper Club, St. John’s Military Academy, Olympia Resort, and lastly retiring from Shorehaven Dietary Service. She is survived by brothers Daniel (Janet), Harold.

G. Paul, Ronald (Donna), and Alfred; and sisters Miriam “Mitzi” (Al) Frank, and Pauline (Barry) Stephan; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Esther Schlender, brother Arnold Schlender, and two sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank Shorehaven and Vitas Hospice for their loving care.

Memorial donations may be made to Shorehaven or a charity of your choice. Services for Virginia will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Shorehaven Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will take place from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am.
