Virginia Dankoski, 97, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at 4:30 a.m. at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living, Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Stefan Munker, Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, IL, and Mark Noyes, Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Dankoski was born on December 5, 1921, Irving, IL, to the late John H. Logsdon and Eliza (Beese) Logsdon. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL and owned and operated Dankoski Antiques, Hillsboro, IL, for 21 years until retiring in May 1989. She married Walter Dankoski on April 25, 1939 in Troy, MO.

He preceded in death. Mrs. Dankoski was a member of the Hillsboro Garden Club, and Christiana Tillson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She spent many hours tending to her flower garden and shared time with other members of the garden club.

Mrs. Dankoski is survived by her son, Dale (Wife Sherry) Dankoski, Hillsboro, IL; two grandchildren, Dr. Eric (Wife Mandy) Dankoski, Wildwood, MO, and Brandi (Husband Matt) Lentz, Irving, IL; and five great-grandchildren, Carter, Ethan, and Reagan Lentz, and Luciana and Chloe Dankoski. Mrs. Dankoski was also proceded in death by one son, Walter “John” Dankoski; one grandson, Brett Dankoski and seven siblings. Memorials may be made out to the Hillsboro Sports Association, Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL or Donor’s choice.
