OBITUARY Virginia Potts “Ginny” Zuppann July 4, 1930 – January 8, 2019 Virginia Potts “Ginny” Zuppann was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 4, 1930. Her life can only be described as extraordinary. She lovingly cared for her four children and husband as a military wife.

As a second act to her life, she graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and began her new career as a Bible teacher, discipler and prayer group leader. Her highest ambition was that all would know the love of Jesus Christ and the freedom His love brings. She was welcomed into Heaven at 8:30 a.m. on January 8, 2019 while the hymn Amazing Grace played.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Charles William Zuppann, and son, John Zuppann. She is survived by her son, Charles Zuppann, her daughters, Cynthia Chai and Carolyn Zuppann, and her many grand and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to be followed by a funeral service on Saturday, January 12 at 10:30 a.m. Both will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl Blvd. , Houston, Texas 77055. She will be interred with her husband at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made either to “Keep the Promise” campaign for St. Mark Lutheran School, 1515 Hillendahl Blvd. , Houston, Texas 77055 or to Chosen People Ministries, 241 East 51st Street, New York, New York 10022.
