Walter Allen Long, 63, of Leesville, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. Mr. Long was born in Lexington County on October 15, 1954 to the late WD Long and Elizabeth Long of Batesburg. Mr. Long served in the U.S. Army.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church with visitation at 12:00 pm at the church and Rev. Mitch Bruner officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Monika… Read More » Long; daughters, Elisabeth (Ronnie) Steele; Melanie Long all of Leesville; eight grandchildren: Adriana Lopez of Batesburg, Terry Leaphart, Emily Leaphart, Marshall Steele, Gage Steele, Cameron Steele, Alana Garcia, Maya Garcia all of Leesville; one great grandchild, Giovanna Rivera of Batesburg; brothers, Russell (Anna) Long; Kenneth Long all of Batesburg; Mike (Wanda) Long of Monetta; James (Joyce) Long of Gilbert. Mr. Long was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling but his greatest joy was his grandchildren, he loved being around all of them laughing and making memories.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Eastside Baptist Church, Youth Fund, P.O. Box 2159, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29070.
