Walter Edward Coggin Jr, 72 of Sanford passed away Monday September 10, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home. Mr. Coggin was born in Lee Co, a son of the late Walter Edward Coggin Sr and Virginia Click Coggin He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Coggin Von Canon and a niece, Stacy Hart.

Mr. Coggin is survived by his sister, Elaine Coggin of Asheville; a brother, Dr. James M. Coggin of Sanford; Nieces, Marcia E. Hudzik (Stephen) of Sanford, and Ginger Thomas (Brad) of Sanford; nephews, David E. Von Canon (Cathi) and Frederick C. Von Canon (Krista) all of Sanford; great nieces and nephews, Caleb Hudzik, Nicholas Thomas, Laurel Thomas, Megan Von Canon, Allyson Von Canon, and Isabelle Lawrence. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at Rogers- Pickard Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Christian Faith Ministries, 3110 Cameron Dr, Sanford, NC 27332.
