Walter H. Pierce, Sr., 82, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018, at his home. Walter worked for the Army Corp Engineers for 39 years on USACE Vessels McFarland and Gerig. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Pierce, of the home; sons, Walter H. Pierce, Jr. and wife, Erika, of Beaufort and Johnny Pierce and companion, Justine Johnson, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Danny Pierce, Brittney Lambert and her husband Josh, and Johnny Pierce, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Draven Ray Pierce, Landon Pierce and Jaxson Ray Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary G. Pierce; mother, Mary Pierce; father, Roy J. Pierce, Sr.; sister, Barbara Anderson; and brother, Roy J.
