Obituary for Walter Russell “Walt” McIntire Print Walter Russell “Walt” McIntire, 81, of Little Bingamon Community passed away on February 6, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following open heart surgery. He was born January 12, 1938 in Little Bingamon, a son of the late Dallas and Olive Virginia Horner McIntire. Walt is survived by his loving wife, Betty Allen McIntire.

The two would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this March. He is also survived by his son, Thomas Edward McIntire whom he loved very much; and Kimmie, his Maltese. Also surviving are his sister, Marjorie Keith of Little Bingamon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Stefanek and Shirley Tennant; as well as his brother, James McIntire. Walt was the owner of Walt’s Inc. in Shinnston for 55 years. Betty would like to extend a special thanks to all of his loyal customers over the years.

He always tried to do his best to take care of his customers. He was a wonderful husband and father and he will be greatly missed by his family, customers, and employees. The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Friday from 1-8 PM.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Chad Weaver and Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
