Warden’s Obituary Warden “Ward” Lindstrom Jr., 64, Howard, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was born on March 7, 1954, in Homestead, to Warden and Margaret (Olson) Lindstrom. Ward graduated from Niagra High School.

His first job was as a logger until he moved to Howard when he started driving dump truck, bulldozer, and then semi. He retired as a truck driver in 2015. He married Kay Coombe on May 28, 1977.

Ward loved to go fishing, ice fishing, biking and four wheeling. He was an excellent woodworker, carver and carpenter. He could fix just about anything.

He loved listening to music and visiting with friends and family in the backyard and garage. Ward had a sarcastic sense of humor. He was always saying, “Be who you want to be” and our favorite, “when you’re dumb, you’re dumb”.

Ward is survived by his wife, Kay; three children, Warden Lindstrom III, Sarah (Chad) Klaubauf and Jill (Nate) Loest; five grandchildren, Alex, Colin, Stella, Owen and Bricen; his parents; four siblings, Kathy, Keith, Allan and Rick; and many nieces and nephews.
