WARREN F. LAYTON, 71, of Sidney passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 7:45 PM at Wilson Health. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late William and Wilma (Hammond) Layton. On July 31, 1976, Warren married the former Sharon Mullen, who survives He is survived by one son, Joe Puckett of New Bremen; three grandchildren, Branden, Bailee, and Malayna; two great-grandchildren, Aubree and Madalynn; one sister, Waneta Frehner of Las Vegas, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.

Warren was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Layton and two sisters, Willa Faye Botner and Wanda Kay Liston. Mr. Layton retired from Lowes working as a sales associate. He also worked at Sears in Piqua for 31 years.

Warren proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era 1966-1969. He was a member of the American Legion Post 217 and Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533. Warren enjoyed doing yardwork around his home and going out to eat with his family and friends.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Warren’s Life will be held Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Military honors will follow presented by the American Legion Post 217.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Warren’s honor. Condolences may be expressed to the Layton family at our website, www.
