Wayne C. Longdin, 58, passed away at the home of his dear friends, Andrea, David and Alexander, in Andover, after a long illness. Wayne was born in Lawrence, MA, but had lived in Newburyport for the last 20 years. Wayne had a ‘Small Favors’ business, and loved his partners, especially his nephew Damian, his friend Johnny, and all his clients.

He leaves his two beloved children, Steven and Amy, and the sunshine of his life, his grandson, Everett Wayne. Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Daryl Wayne; his mother, Winnie; and his father Herbert Charles (“Bud”) Longdin. He also leaves his brothers Keith and Craig, his sisters Sheri and her husband Gordie, Donna and her husband Rick, and Tina, as well as several nieces and nephews and too many dear friends to name.

Wayne will always be remembered for his sense of humor, profound loyalty to his friends and kindness to anyone in need. He was a loving father, an adoring grandfather and a lifelong protector of his sisters. He was an avid reader, with a remarkable memory and a gift for telling stories.

He will be dearly missed and the ‘Island’ and streets of Newburyport will never be the same. Family and friends are invited to attend Wayne’s Funeral Service at the Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 am.
