Mr. Wayne Russell Mason, 71, resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Born March 11, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Alvin Henry Mason and Kathleen Jane Russell Mason. Wayne grew up on the family farm, which instilled in him a passion for farming that he carried throughout his life.

He loved working with his hands, and was especially talented at woodworking. With charm and charisma unlike any other, Wayne was quick to make a friend and loved the ladies. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Wayne is survived by two sisters, Barbara Williams and Kay Ellicott, both of Onancock; three nieces; and eight nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two nieces. A memorial service will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Andy Cobb officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to Williams Funeral Home, P.O. Box 214, Onancock, VA 23417, to assist with funeral expenses. Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www. williamsfuneralhomes.com.
