Robert Hill officiating. Services were under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Wayne was born October 28, 1945 in Jena, LA and died February 2, 2019 in Ruston. He was retired from Toms Foods and from Lincoln Parish School Board. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Edgar and Wilma Janice Simmons and a sister, Addie Geraldine Massey.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Earline Taunton Simmons of Dubach; son, Eddie Simmons and wife Cathy of Dubach and granddaughter, Elizabeth Simmons of Dubach.
