Weldon J. Brooks, Jr., age 87, of Harrison Township, passed away on February 17, 2019, with is family by his side. He was born on May 5, 1931, in Greene County, Georgia, to the late Weldon and Vera Brooks. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and Christian music, was very spiritual. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Karen Aiken, Allen (Dawn) Brooks, Shirley (Tom) Mitchell, Gina (Bill) Galloway and Debbie (Shawn) Martin, and daughter in-law, Marie Brooks, grandchildren; Shae, Renee, Dayna, Angela, Derek, Thomas, Michael, Bryan, Dylan, Blake, Scott, Jeff, Natalie, Kevin, and Connor, along with several great-grandchildren.

Also survived by his siblings; Mack Brooks, Rubye Hinshaw, Helen Coslow, and Red Brooks, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Brooks and son-in law, Mitchell Aiken III. A private burial will take place.
