Wesley Frank Peace, 91, of Newton, died Monday, December 03, 2018 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with interment in Milford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rev. James Cain will officiate. Born July 17, 1927 in Baker County, Mr. Peace was the son of the late Earnest Leonard Peace and Ida Jane Bullard Peace.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. … Read More » Mr. Peace was an engineer, having worked with the Highway Department.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Shiver Peace of Newton; two step-daughters, Melody Stone (James) of Zebulon, GA and Sandra Kay Howard of Locus Grove, GA; five grandchildren, Gina Stone, Ginger Lester (Henry), James Stone, Kim Oliver (Ken), and Michael Kelly; seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to services, Thursday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
