Wesley Vance, 78, of Salem, AL passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at his home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Wayne Scarborough officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday evening. Mr. Vance was born on October 23, 1939 in Pike County, AL to the late Jessie James Vance and Minnie Bedsole Vance.

He retired from Sunshine Biscuit, as a Maintenance Supervisor, with over 44 years of service. Mr. Vance loved his family, as well as, hunting and fishing. He was a devoted caregiver to all of his family members.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Elizabeth McLean Greer; five brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Gina Wangle and husband Randy of Salem, AL, Elizabeth Vance Madan of Dacula, GA and Kathy Robbins of Smiths Station, AL; sons, Tony Watford of Odenville, AL and Ricky Watford and wife Sherry of Unicoi, TN; one brother, Landon Vance and wife Betty of Smiths Station, AL; grandchildren, Daniel Dean Duff, Leah Duff, Justin Wayne Duff, Cassie Godfrey (Jeff) and Sean; great-grandchildren, Tiharey, Kaitlynn, Dylanne, Wesley and Jade; numerous extended family members and many friends. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 225 N Michigan Ave.
