Wilbur J Moyle March 22, 1916 – February 23, 2019 Wilbur J. Moyle of Manchester, NJ passed away on 2/23/19 at the age of 102. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Ida Rose (Wider), daughter Arlene Thunhorst and son James. He is survived by sons Robert and William, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and a loving companion of 20 years Doris Granger.

His was a life well lived. As a wartime civilian, he was proud to play a small part in what became known as the Manhattan Project. He started the Maywood Insurance Agency in 1952.

Owned and operated a beef cattle farm in Richmondville, NY in the late 1960s early 70s. He took up sailing and learned celestial navigation. He was town councilman for Maywood, NJ (1950s) and was especially proud to be a volunteer firefighter for Maywood (25 yrs) and also for Bullville, NY (1980s).

You name it . . He loved it .

. music, horses, cars, boats, motor homes, traveling, new technology and especially causing a commotion. As he put it, “I just like living”.

He was a big kid himself. He was an inspiration and will be greatly missed. God Bless .

Burial at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Visitation 11:00am-12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ASPCA in Wilbur’s name would be appreciated.
